If you're hiring a car, Swanbourne, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove, Claremont, North Fremantle, City Beach, or Fremantle are all fantastic options too, each offering easy access to the wedding, beautiful beaches, and plenty to see, eat and explore.

North Street Store is our favourite spot, famous for its cinnamon scrolls, bacon and egg baguettes, hot chips and takeaway dinner boxes for the beach. There’s no seating here, so be ready to find a grassy verge if you’re dining in.
Around Cottesloe, Ol' Buoy, Daisies and Boatshed Market are all great for coffee, breakfast, lunches or grabbing supplies.
For sunset drinks or dinner by the ocean, you can't go wrong with Shorehouse, Cottesloe Beach Hotel or OBH.
If you're exploring further afield, Besk or Lum’s in West Leederville/Subi is where you’d find us on a Friday evening, The Re Store is our favourite classic Italian deli (sandwiches are molto bene), Si Paradiso is perfect for a lively night out on Beaufort Street, Coogee Common is ideal for a special lunch, and Bread in Common, Gage Roads, Vin Populi and the Fremantle Markets are all amazing if you take a trip to Freo.
And if you need a bottle shop while you’re in town, head to Stuart St. Cellars in Mosman Park.
Beaches
Cottesloe Beach is Perth's most iconic beach, and our favourite.
If you're after somewhere a little quieter, Grant Street, Vera View, Swanbourne and Leighton Beach are all excellent options nearby. City Beach and Scarborough great for bigger surf and sunsets, while Coogee is worth visiting for the Omeo shipwreck snorkel.
If you've got a spare day, catch the ferry to Rottnest Island, hire a bike, explore the beaches and say hello to the quokkas.
And if you’re got a few spare days, you’d be silly not to head down south. Dunsborough, Injidup and Margaret River are all beach towns with unbelievable coastline.
Retail Therapy
Claremont Quarter is the best all-round shopping destination near Cottesloe, while Napoleon Street is perfect for a relaxed wander through boutiques and cafés.
Highs and Lows is streetwear heaven if you just so happen to find yourself in the CBD (you probably won’t).
And if you enjoy exploring neighbourhoods, Leederville, Mount Lawley and Angove Street all have great cafés, bars, vintage stores and local shopping.
It’s not the most walkable place. All of our events are within 5 mins of each other, so you could make do with Ubers - but if you plan on going much further than Cottesloe, it might be a good idea to get a car.
Go to the beach early.
The Freo Doctor is no joke, and the wind can make an afternoon visit to the beach very unenjoyable. So, wait at your own risk. Cottesloe Beach is your best bet for an afternoon swim because it is protected from the wind. And the sunset is incred.
